Most of our visors are made from Polycarbonate (PC). The advantage of polycarbonate is the higher impact strength and its high temperature resistance. Cellulose-Acetate Visors (CA), which have a higher chemical resistance but provide less impact protection, can be made to order.
Gold-coated visors serve as heat protection. The thin layer of gold reflects a large part of the heat, allowing you to work longer in front of strong heat sources, while also providing IR-protection in different shades.
