Originally developed for the United States Air Force (USAF), the Ops-Core® Shield Visor was designed for use with the FAST® Carbon Helmet (HGU-100A/P) for aircrew operations.
The visor is compatible with MBU-20 series oxygen masks and integrates seamlessly with other Ops-Core equipment, including the Special Operations Tactical Respirator (SOTR) and AMP Communication Headsets.
The Shield Visor mounts to the Ops-Core PowerPath ARC Rail using adjustable retention bungees and secures in place with a cleat locking system. The bungees also allow the visor to be quickly stowed on top of the helmet when not in use.
Designed to protect against dust, wind, debris, and ballistic impacts, the visor is suitable for parachute operations and has been tested in bailout scenarios at airspeeds up to 120 mph.
Lightweight and engineered for a wide field of view, the visor provides a practical and compatible eye-protection solution. While it is not optimized for use with NVGs, it does accommodate prescription eyewear and laser eye protection worn beneath the visor.
