Gentex SPH-5 Maxillofacial Shield

The SPH-5 Maxillofacial Shield (MFS) cost effectively extends the protection capability of the Gentex SPH-5 Helmet adding lower facial protection from rotor wash, flying debris, and windblast during helicopter operations. In addition to full facial protection, aircrew may obtain optimal fit, comfort, and field-of- view with an easy to use installation kit. Ongoing maintenance is inexpensive and easy too with in-field replacement capability. The SPH-5 MFS is available in standard white, black, and olive drab colors, and can be custom painted to match any SPH-5 helmet color. With its low cost and simplicity of design, the SPH-5 MFS is a good short-term solution for extending the capability and use of existing Gentex SPH-5 Helmets.
